As you can probably guess from the main graphic on this site, the Guitar is a very big hobby of mine. I have been playing for 16 years which includes about 6 years training.

I own a number of a guitars, and I have a wide range in music tastes, (excluding rap!). I play lead as well as rhythm and I am constantly trying to improve my playing by learning new music theory and working on my improvisation and speed.
I have a number of guitar idols that would take too long to list here but the main ones are as follows:
Obviously these guys as a main source of inspiration to me due to their playing capability and their vast musical knowledge and skills. I have recently been impressed by the skills of #1 shredder, Michael Angelo by this video clip. Impressive isn't it. I hope one day I will have mastered shredding like that. I am a fast player, but I'm not that quick!
Jimi Hendrix I'm sad to say, is not on my list of favorite guitarists. He was a good player and could do some interesting things but I am not a fan of his. Everyone has their own taste and music.
As for musical groups I am a fan of, again the list is extensive but might not include the common groups that most musicians are fans of. Some of my favored groups are, (in no particular order):

- Pink Floyd
- Dire Straits
- Deep Purple
- Rage Against the Machine
- Travis
- Stereophonic's
- Nirvana
- Iron Maiden
- Metalica
- Puddle of Mudd
- Nickelback
- Evanessance
- Creed
There are a lot more to this but I'm not going to list them all. However one group that is worth mentioning is Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne. Please do not talk to me about Ozzy, because I will never be a fan of him.
The Axes
As mentioned before, I have a number of guitars - my most recent addition to the collection comes in the form of an Ibanez Jem 555. Its the bottom end model but it still cost a packet and it plays very well and I like it. Below is a list of my guitars with some photos from my mobile phone.
Amps and Effects
What guitarist wouldn't have a set off effects peddles?
I don't know but I'm not one of them. I have a number of effects peddles
and pre-amps which are all listed below. My setup varies though so I won't
try and list them all.
